Obituary

John DeBonis, of Patterson, NY, died peacefully on Monday April 22, 2019 at Putnam Hospital Center. He was 55 years old.
Born on February 8, 1964 in Flushing, Queens, NY, son of William and Joann (Severino) DeBonis of Brewster, NY. John was a 1982 graduate of Brewster High School and attended TCI Trade School.
On April 4, 1987 he married the love of his life and best friend Mary Ellen Marcantonio at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY.
Mr. DeBonis was a Master HVAC for over 25 years with Robison in Elmsford, NY. He was the president of the Italian American Social Club in Brewster and had a passion for antique cars. He owned a Trans AM and enjoyed traveling to various car shows.
John is not only survived by his loving wife and parents but also his children; Valerie DeBonis and John DeBonis both of Patterson, NY and his brothers, Billy DeBonis and James DeBonis both of Poughquag, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 25, 2019 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lake, 1 Doherty Drive, Lake Carmel, NY. Interment will follow at St. Sebastian Columbarium, Lake Carmel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 4pm-8pm.
